Riverside Home Ownership (RHO) is Riverside’s business unit dedicated to serving customers living in shared ownership, leasehold, market and intermediate rent properties. Set up in November 1984 and originally known as Harbour Housing, the division was specifically created to manage Leasehold Scheme’s for the elderly (LSE’s).

With the introduction of shared ownership in the 1980s, RHO began to assist first time buyers on to the property ladder and has been providing first class services to the sector ever since.

We currently part own or manage more than 6,500 properties. The vast majority are leasehold residential properties – houses, apartments, bungalows and even some extra care properties. We also manage some intermediate and market rented stock, plus a small number of commercial units.

Our sales team work with Riverside’s development and growth and marketing teams, as well as builders and developers including Prospect and Compendium, to develop new, affordable properties for sale through shared ownership and rent to buy.
