Cook off for cancer

Let’s turn meals into moments, and moments into meaningful change.

We’re launching Cook off for Cancer, a year‑long fundraising movement that brings people together through the power of food — all to support Young Lives vs Cancer, the charity standing beside children and young people facing cancer.

Why we’re doing this

Our CEO, Paul Dolan, knows personally how life‑changing a cancer diagnosis can be. Just two weeks into his new role, he was diagnosed with bowel cancer. After treatment and recovery, his mission became clear: to give something back — especially to children and young people living with cancer. You can hear Paul’s story in the short introduction video below, or watch the full version here, if you have more time.

Food with purpose

Inspired by Paul’s Michelin‑trained chef background, Cook off for Cancer invites everyone — customers, colleagues, businesses, celebrity chefs, friends and communities — to come together over great food and raise money that makes a real difference.

For the next twelve months, we’ll be hosting and supporting cook‑offs, supper clubs, bake‑offs, tastings, and foodie challenges across the UK. Anyone can take part. Everyone can make an impact!

Who you’re supporting

Young Lives vs Cancer helps children and young people navigate the emotional and practical realities of cancer — from treatment and travel to family support and accommodation, just like Jack’s House, a free “home from home” where families can stay close during treatment. For families like Isaac and his mum Joanne, it’s been a lifeline.

Staying here meant after a day of treatment we didn’t have to make the 40-mile journey home, which could take up to two hours or even more during busy times. With its proximity to the hospital, it meant Isaac could go straight to bed after his chemo/radiotherapy if he needed and he felt comfortable there.

Lets make it happen

Whether you have time, energy, or ideas to share, you can help us make a difference. By getting involved, you can help us raise vital funds, spread awareness, and support those who need it most. You’ll be supporting young people affected by cancer and helping to change lives.
