Clean up day in Carlisle

Riverside has joined forces with the Police, Local Councillors from Carlisle Council, Mini Police from Newtown Primary school and Carlisle Network Youth Church to have a community clean up on Wednesday 4 July.  The day will involve litter picking in Heysham Park starting 10am until 12 noon.

The Mayor of Carlisle and local ward Councillor for the Belle Vue ward – Jessica Riddle will be attending the event at 10.15am. Up to 30 people are expected to help litter pick.

Jamie Hendry, Riverside’s Regional Projects Officer said: “It’s great to see the local community and partners working together and making Raffles a good place for residents to live”.

The litter picking event is just one of many Give A Day projects running in Carlisle during the week of Monday 2 to Sunday 8 July.
