Digital Inclusion is about getting you connected – to friends, for bill payments, application forms and to a whole world of information at your fingertips.
But where to start? If you are reading this then chances are you are already connected but perhaps you know someone who would benefit from a bit of support to get started or maybe you would like some help with something more advanced?
We know it can all seem very daunting which is why we run FREE Digital Inclusion Sessions across Carlisle where we provide laptops for you to use. Our Digital Inclusion Apprentice James Lapping is there to help from switching the machine to leading people through the web.
James says ” So much of our daily life now has a digital element. Paying bills, shopping, buying travel passes, booking doctors appointments there are endless examples. Many people now see having internet connection as essential as any other of the utilities.
Riverside use the internet to stay connected to their customers; you can check your rent account, book a repair and find out what is on it your area. For some people its a question of building confidence in using a computer for the first time and showing them how accessible information is. “
