Riverside has helped to secure the future of a youth project in Petteril Bank that was in danger of closure after its funding had been slashed.
Our charitable arm, Riverside Foundation, provided £20,000 to Petteril Bank Youth Project, the only provider of youth services on the Petteril Bank estate.
Riverside manages 400 homes on the estate, where the project has been running for eight years, offering up to 50 young people aged eight to 19 years a place to go to in the evenings.
When the group approached Riverside, the project manager’s hours had been reduced by half due to a lack of funding, leaving the project in danger of closure.
Riverside Community Engagement Officer Jamie Hendry said: “We are proud to be supporting this project and really value all the work the team does on this estate for young people and their families.”
