Whitehaven Foyer Day Out in Partnership with Goodlives

“Growth is never by mere chance; it is a result of forces working together”

The Whitehaven Foyer provides supported accommodation for young people aged 16 to 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, require support to develop vital life skills and also access formal training, educational and employment opportunities.

The accommodation consists of 19 units of shared flats or self-contained accommodation.  Located over 3 floors in our newly developed building, each unit has its own bedroom, bathroom and living space, with access to laundry facilities and free Wi-Fi.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to The Goodlives Project and Skills4you for hosting our visit this summer. Staff and residents from the Whitehaven Foyer thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to enjoy the rare summer sun, great company & fantastic food.

8 people from The Foyer attended a picnic, with homemade food made by our cookery tutor Di.

Angela facilitated a mini workshop where customers decorated a pot and planted pea shoots, which they took away with them.  Everyone said that they had a great time and that the picnic was excellent.
