Engaging role for Laura

In a bid to get more people online, Riverside is continuing its support for tenants, with a new community engagement officer in Runcorn and South Liverpool.

Laura Woodward is replacing Lorna Cotterill, who is on maternity leave, to continue the focus on providing digital skills for tenants. Laura, 28, from Aintree, is visiting four hubs across Runcorn and Liverpool, working alongside Riverside’s digital apprentice, to provide free online access and support.

She is also working on community arts projects, such as Love Your Neighbourhood, working with Roma children in Liverpool to encourage pride in the local environment.

Laura said: “I’ve been working for Riverside in the Runcorn area for the last three years on environmental projects, including Keep Britain Tidy awards, so I’m used to the area and have got to know lots of people. It’s great to now have a focus on helping people get online, working with volunteers who are already digitally savvy.”

Riverside is recruiting digital volunteers in its neighbourhoods, to share skills with those who are new to the internet. If you are interested in helping at a digital hub contact Laura on 0345 111 0000.
