Riverside have introduced an initiative in Langley aimed at making neighbourhoods cleaner, greener and safer.
This new service which was officially launched last week will allow Riverside to deal with the day to day estate issues that need to be actioned straight away.
The aim is to maintain open green spaces so that they can be enjoyed by everyone and the Your Place teams, who will be highly visible in their teal uniforms, will deliver environmental improvements which include: grounds maintenance, fly tipping removal/litter picking, graffiti removal and sweeping of footpaths to improve green spaces.
Tenants and residents can report incidents or request jobs to be done and this will help to ensure that the areas are kept clean, green and safe for all who live there.
At the official launch customers will be able to obtain information on the opportunities for getting involved including a litter pick, how to become a street representative and how to join the Estate Committee or the local tenants group.
Steve Ward, Riverside’s Director said: “Your Place local services have been designed to combat what our tenants and residents told us concerns them the most about their neighbourhood. We hope that our customers will work with us to ensure that our neighbourhoods are cleaner and safer for everyone.”
Local MP Liz McInnes said “I really welcome this initiative, I think it’s fantastic for residents of Langley that Riverside are doing this work. I think it’s really important that the community feels good about where they live and keeping Langley clean and green and making sure that everything is properly maintained means such a lot to the residents and it means a lot to me as well and I just want to encourage pride in Langley and thanks to Riverside for doing this”.
