Willow Brook – Independent living scheme opening soon in Washington

Willow Brook on Spout Lane, is an exciting new extra care housing scheme built to suit the lifestyles of people over 55.  These modern and vibrant apartments are being delivered by Riverside, one of the leading social housing regeneration organisations in the UK.

Built on the site of former Washington Colliery Welfare Hall and Institute, Willow Brook’s interior compliments the mining rich heritage of the area.

Homes are set in a communal environment where our customers will feel safe and secure whilst having the privacy and dignity of their own front door and aims to help them live as independently as possible in their own home.

As well as enjoying the peace and quiet of their own apartment, customers can also make use of the public spaces and the wide range of community-focussed activities which include a restaurant, café, hairdresser, well-being suite, communal lounges and landscaped gardens.

At Willow Brook you can have fun, socialise and keep your mental and physical well-being in tip top shape.

Riverside’s friendly and dedicated team can provide individual care and support packages for single people and couples over 55, including those with health issues and dementia.

The £8.8 million scheme was funded by Riverside along with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), which is the Government funding body for housing.

We will be holding a Community Open Day in June 2016 (to be confirmed) when you will be able to come along and have a look around the show home.  Riverside staff will be on hand to answer any questions you have and you can complete an initial assessment form.

In the meantime if you are interested in one of the apartments you can email us at [email protected] or call our customer service centre on 0345 111 0000 for the initial assessment form.
