Health and wellbeing top of the list for Retirement Living

We are continuing to improve our services for Retirement Living tenants – putting health and wellbeing at the top of the agenda.

Our innovative Health and Wellbeing service is creating local plans to offer activities, and awareness sessions to people in our retirement living schemes.

We’ll also invite the public to some events to help tackle isolation in the community.

This comes following summer consultation at schemes across the country.

Over the next three months we’re also updating systems that monitor people’s safety, installing small sensors which alert us if there is an unusual lack of activity in someone’s apartment.

Riverside’s Director of Operations Cath McAndry said: “I am really pleased that so many of our tenants have been part of our consultation events this summer.

“Overall the feedback was really positive, with an understanding that all organisations which provide retirement living are having to update the way they deliver their services to ensure they are using new ways of helping protect tenants’ wellbeing.”
