Mary, 70, moved to Riverside’s Retirement Living accommodation at St Luke’s Court from a nearby neighbourhood. Since moving to the scheme, she has found she enjoys taking part in social activities like bingo and golf, and makes use of the scheme’s wi-fi to communicate with her friends and families and access online resources.

Mary has had help to manage her finances from Riverside’s Money Advice team and has worked with the Affordable Warmth division to reduce her heating bills.

Her neighbour, Jean, 80, moved to one of St Luke’s second floor apartments after the loss of her husband. She enjoys the community feel, and her family has the peace of mind knowing that she is safe thanks to assistive technology options on offer at the scheme. Jean said: “It’s just the place I want to be.”

Jim moved from rented accommodation in Walton to the nearby retirement living scheme, which was more suitable for his needs. He makes use of its good links to the local area and town amenities and enjoys the community activities both at the scheme and nearby.
