Tackling anti-social behaviour

Riverside takes all aspects of neighbour nuisance, anti-social behaviour and race hate seriously.

Over the past six months, we have taken a variety of actions on a number of Riverside tenants, including:

• an anti-social behaviour injunction and possession of a property in South Grange, Birkenhead due to noise nuisance from the tenant and visitors

• a civil injunction with power of arrest against a tenant in Highfield South, Rock Ferry due to threatening behaviour

• a two-year court undertaking for nuisance behaviour from a family in Parklands, Little Sutton

• an anti-social behaviour injunction and possession of the tenant’s property in Hartington Road, Liverpool due to long-term neighbour nuisance

• an anti-social behaviour injunction with power of arrest on a man in Linkfield Close, Lee Valley due to an assault

• legal warning letters to a tenant and their son in Highfield South, Rock Ferry due to racial abuse • notices seeking possession on a number of Riverside properties being used as cannabis farms.

Riverside has also helped to resolve other neighbour nuisance cases using tools including installing sound equipment, cameras, offering mediation and making referrals to support agencies. All new tenants sign up on a starter tenancy, to avoid incidents occurring.
