Riverside employee is first in the country to achieve new safety qualification

As part of our continued investment in compliance and safety services for customers, Riverside’s Head of Compliance Iain Hardman has become the first person in the UK to complete a nationally recognised Asset and Building Management qualification.

Compliance Management is the name for the activities we undertake to make sure all of our properties are safe.

Iain completed the new Level 4 VRQ Diploma in July 2018, becoming the first in the country to achieve the qualification, which is now being rolled out nationwide.

Iain said, “The diploma is the only qualification of its kind to cover the 5 main key risk areas for asset compliance. This course will help ensure Riverside introduce a robust approach to safeguarding our customers which is thorough and effective and demonstrates our continued investment in compliance and our commitment to keeping customers safe in their homes.”

The course covers five areas of safety, including gas, fire and electrical safety, asbestos and legionella. It provides training, skills and knowledge for social housing professionals to deliver effective compliance and keep customers and their homes safe.
