Over the next five years we plan to spend £27 million investing in Retirement Living schemes across the country.
Kitchen refurbishments
Kitchen refurbishments were carried out in several retirement living schemes last year and we have had great feedback from you.
Sharon Hill, Scheme Manager at Victoria Court, said: “The work is outstanding and the attitude of everyone involved was fantastic.
“We are now having our 25 year old windows and gutters replaced. The windows and kitchens, along with our brand new atio area makes Victoria Court really look the part – just in time for our 25 year anniversary celebrations.”
Amanda Reeves, Scheme Manager at Woodend Court, added: “The tenants are really happy.”
At St George’s Court in Widnes work is almost finished on a £125,000 kitchen replacement programme. The Evolve team designed and installed 35 new kitchens, also using this as a pilot to look at loose lay flooring which has proved cost effective and popular with customers.
Scheme Manager Karen Denyer said: “The have had nothing but praise for the Evolve team during these works.
“Everybody involved worked so hard making sure the tenants are coping during the works.”
Evolve kitchen designer Amy Law said: “Making a difference to people’s lives while providing an excellent service on behalf of Evolve and Riverside gives me immense satisfaction.”
Scheduled repairs visits
We are a few weeks into our pilot scheduled repairs visits service for 28 schemes in Manchester, with brilliant
feedback from staff and customers.
Mark Stock, from Evolve, is visiting each of the schemes on a four-week rota, dealing with minor repairs that have
been reported.
Tony Smith, Scheme Manager at Mellands Court said: “Tenants are happy to see a contractor on site for a full day, and seeing so many jobs sorted out all in one day.”
Madeline Mason, Scheme Manager at McLaren Court, added: “I am extremely pleased with the service
and Mark is very efficient, friendly and always keeps you updated.
“You know that when he is here the jobs are going to get done.”
