Plans for The Uplands involve the selective demolition of homes to make way for better housing. The new homes will be modern, stylish and energy efficient. There will be a wider choice of tenure types with homes for affordable rent, sale and shared ownership. We anticipate there being a mix of houses, apartments and bungalows. Changes will also include improvements to public spaces and travel routes, alongside community and resident-based projects and safety initiatives.  

In August 2023 we submitted a planning application for The Uplands. You can view these plans on Halton Borough Council’s planning portal

Timeline for delivery  

Our planning application will be heard by the planning committee on Monday 20 May 2024.  If we get getting approval, the next step will be to develop a delivery programme to share with the community. We estimate the earliest work could start will be late 2026.
