The community chest fund is currently closed and not taking any new funding applications. We will let you know when it reopens.

About the fund

Since 2019, we have invested around £150,000 in local projects through the Community Chest Fund. This has included support for the local food banks, activities and projects run by community groups, as well as training opportunities and much more.

Some of the projects we’ve granted funding to include:

Open 360

They’re all about ensuring digital inclusion and tackling the digital divide. They help to combat data poverty, loneliness and social isolation through their projects. To find out more and get involved visit the Open 360 website.

Runcorn Amateur Boxing Club

ABC is the town’s only boxing club, first established in the 1960’s.  They aim to provide people with the chance to improve their physical and mental health by utilising their facilities, whether that’s by them wanting to learn to box, or just to keep fit and train, to find out more visit the Runcorn Amateur Boxing Club website here.

Vibe UK

Vibe UK work with young people to provide a programme of activities to encourage positivity, engagement and, most importantly, fun! To find out more and how to get involved visit the Vibe UK website.

The Runcorn Sea Cadets

The Sea Cadets aim to give young people an experience that will help them grow into the person they want to be, in a safe and friendly environment. Through various activities and adventures, they learn teamwork, respect, loyalty, self-confidence, commitment, self-discipline, honesty and how to be the best version of themselves. To find out more and how to get involved visit the Runcorn Sea Cadets website.
