Welcome

As one of the country’s largest providers of affordable housing, care and regeneration services, we have a clear social purpose underpinned by strong values. We aim to provide a range of homes and wider support services for people who can’t fully meet their needs through the housing market.

Forward Together sets out our three-year strategy, the first we have published since our merger with One Housing and putting it together provided a perfect opportunity to consider challenges, opportunities and key priorities as a larger Group with a much greater presence in London.

The following pages provide a summary of the plan – what has influenced our thinking, and what our main objectives are. The full plan can be found here.

About this plan

Developed in consultation with a range of stakeholders, our plan for the next three years is founded on a firm commitment to deliver a series of pledges made as part of our merger with One Housing. Learn more about our pledges.

Up until 2026 we will remain focused on achieving full integration, as we bring together colleagues, functions, services and systems, while developing a collaborative culture based on our new, shared values.

We put our customers first every time, going the extra mile to make sure we deliver great homes and services that they need and want.

We respect and value the diversity of our customers and colleagues, welcoming and appreciating the contribution of others.

We have high standards and work hard to meet them, taking ownership and performing at our best.

It comes at a time of stronger regulation across our sector, with increased emphasis on consumer regulation, a new regime for building safety, and the strengthening of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Ofsted regimes applying to some of our care and support services.

As we continue to navigate one of the most challenging periods in our history that was dominated by the pandemic and a succession of disruptive lockdowns, there is still much to do to complete what we started in our last three-year plan.

Because of this and given the long-term nature of many of our activities, there is a strong thread of continuity with the last plan. Although our objectives have been re-shaped in response to the challenges facing us now, the plan does not represent a major departure in terms of our overall strategic direction of travel.
