Supported housing
Accommodation and personalised support to help people live independently.
Support that meets people where they are
We know that the causes of homelessness are complex, and that trauma often plays an important role in why some people may find it hard to live fully on their own. Our services adjust their support to each person’s needs and history, making sure they receive a person‑centred service that meets them where they are on their journey toward independence.
We support:
- Single homeless adults
- People sleeping rough
- People experiencing domestic abuse
- Homeless families and young parents
- People with learning disabilities
- People with mental health needs
- Specialist services for the LGBTQ+ community

Support we can provide
Supported housing
Our supported housing services offer safe, stable accommodation and personalised support for people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or sleeping rough.
We work alongside each person to help them build independence, improve wellbeing, and move towards a positive and sustainable future.
Young People and Ofsted Services
We provide supported accommodation for looked-after children and care leavers aged 16 and 17. These services are registered with Ofsted and operate across the country.
Like our adult services, our specialist teams offer person-centred, trauma-informed support to young people who have experienced homelessness. We help them build skills and confidence so they can move on to independent living.
Floating Support
We provide specialist floating support, visiting support, and tenancy‑sustainment services to people with a wide range of needs across the country. We help people connect with local services, build positive support and social networks, and take part in their communities through employment, training, or volunteering.
We understand that adult floating support services must respond to complex situations, changing levels of need, and the wider pressures people face. Our flexible, strengths‑based approach allows us to adjust the level and focus of support as those needs change.
Mental Health
We understand that people living in high‑support mental health accommodation often face long‑term challenges, including psychosis, personality disorders, and complex trauma. Our service model is built on consistent, safe, and trauma‑informed approaches that help create stable, trusting relationships.
Our staff teams receive specialist training on common and complex mental health conditions, such as psychosis, personality disorders, and trauma. This training helps staff respond confidently to distress and risk, while still promoting recovery‑focused practice in a non‑clinical housing setting.
We work closely with NHS mental health services, care coordinators, and community teams. By planning together and sharing risk management, we make sure our support changes as a person’s needs, treatment, or level of risk changes.
Veterans supported housing
Riverside specialist veteran’s supported accommodation centres are a leading part of Riverside’s practical commitment to former Armed Forces personnel.
Everyone’s journey into and out of homelessness is particular to them. However, specific populations such as veterans tend toward specific needs requiring specific responses.
